Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about InstantAlert
General
What is InstantAlert?
InstantAlert is a service that checks Vinted for you. You tell it what you're looking for—brand, size, price range, keywords, category, condition, country—and we check Vinted for new listings that match. Premium checks every minute, while Ultra checks Vinted non-stop at our fastest available speed, giving you the best chance to spot new matches first. When a match appears, we send you a push or email notification within a few seconds.
It's built for people who actually want to make sure they don't miss deals and fast-moving listings: resellers, collectors, and bargain hunters who've gotten tired of refreshing the app manually. You can try it with a 3-day free trial: 3 alerts total, no credit card required. After that, a paid plan is required to keep using alerts.
How does it work?
Getting started takes less than a minute:
- Create your account and start the 3-day trial.
- Set up a new alert in your InstantAlert dashboard for Vinted.
- Pick your filters - think price range, brand, size, keywords, or anything else you'd normally search for.
- Hit save and you're done!
- We'll monitor new listings around the clock and notify you by email or push notification as soon as something matching shows up.
No more refreshing the page or missing out on deals - we handle the searching for you.
Who is InstantAlert for?
InstantAlert is perfect for anyone looking for specific items on Vinted:
- anyone looking for specific items
- collectors
- resellers
- people looking for rare or hard-to-find items
If you don't want to search these platforms manually every day, this is the ideal solution.
Does this also work for specific categories?
Yes, absolutely. When you create a new alert in your dashboard, you can select a specific category as one of your filters. Combine it with other filters like price, brand, or size to narrow things down even further. We'll then only notify you about new listings in that exact category.
How is InstantAlert different from Vinted's own notifications and filters?
Vinted's saved searches remember the filters you set, but they don't notify you reliably. They rely on Vinted's own update frequency, which in practice apparently means that some people get delayed notifications and others don't get anything at all.
InstantAlert checks every minute on Premium, while Ultra checks Vinted non-stop at our fastest available speed, giving you the best chance to spot new matches first. After a check detects a new match, we send you a push or email notification within seconds. You also get features Vinted's saved searches don't offer: include and exclude word lists (for example, hide anything with "stained" in the title), filter on the seller's country, filter out seller profiles, combine filters Vinted doesn't let you combine, and run alerts across multiple Vinted country domains.
Vinted's saved searches are fine for things you're casually curious about. InstantAlert is for things you actually want to buy without missing out.
Safety & Privacy
Do I need to share my Vinted login?
No, and we don't even offer it as an option. InstantAlert only reads public Vinted listings, the same listings anyone can see without logging in. You set your filters inside InstantAlert, not inside your Vinted account, and we never hold any credentials that belong to you on Vinted.
That means we also don't know what you've favorited, what you've bought, who you've messaged, or what's in your Vinted inbox. Your Vinted account and your InstantAlert account are two completely separate things. The only thing we actually need from you is an email address to send alerts to, or, if you have the app, we send new listing notifications to your phone.
This also means there is no risk of getting banned from Vinted!
Can I get banned from Vinted for using InstantAlert?
No. Due to how InstantAlert is set up, it's not possible to get banned on Vinted for using it. We've been active since early 2025 and we have hundreds of active users, and we have not had a single report of Vinted taking any action against an account for using our service.
We never touch your Vinted account. We don't need your login, your password, or any access. All our checks run on our own servers, not on your phone, and they go through proxies that sit physically in the same country as the Vinted marketplace you're watching. To Vinted, each request looks like a normal Dutch visitor on vinted.nl, a normal French visitor on vinted.fr, and so on.
The tools that do get people banned usually fall into one of three categories: they ask for your login and scrape from inside your account, they run checks from your own phone (which exposes your personal IP), or they offer auto-buy, which Vinted's fraud system flags within days. We deliberately don't do any of those.
Does InstantAlert use auto-buy or automation on my account?
No, and we won't add it. We get asked about it occasionally, some competitors do offer auto-buy but it's the fastest way to get a Vinted account banned.
Vinted's fraud systems flag abnormal buying patterns (instant purchases across many sellers, purchases that happen seconds after a listing goes up), and auto-buy tools trip those systems within days. We send you a notification in under a second and let you decide. Our job is to make sure you see the listing first. Yours is to decide if you actually want it.
This also keeps it fair for anyone. We're not a Vinted bot, we're a tool!
Why is InstantAlert safer than alternatives?
Many Vinted alert tools require your login credentials, run checks from your IP address, or use auto-buy features that can trigger account bans. Some even run checks from your phone, draining your battery and data plan. InstantAlert is different: all checks run on our own servers through country-specific proxies. We never need your password, your IP address is never exposed to Vinted, there is no battery or data usage on your device, and we never automate any actions on your account.
Searches, Monitoring & Alerts
How often are the platforms checked?
That depends on your plan:
- The free trial checks every 10 minutes
- Pro checks every 3 minutes
- Premium checks every minute
- Ultra 3, Ultra 7, and Ultra 11 check Vinted non-stop at our fastest available speed, giving you the best chance to spot new matches first
The faster your plan checks, the sooner you can react when the right listing appears.
How quickly do I get an alert after a new listing appears?
It depends on how often your plan checks Vinted and how quickly we deliver a notification after finding a match. The free trial checks every 10 minutes, Pro every 3 minutes, and Premium every minute. Ultra checks Vinted non-stop at our fastest available speed, giving you the best chance to spot new matches first. Once a check finds a match, the notification is normally sent within a few seconds, with push usually arriving before email.
How many search alerts can I create?
That depends on your plan:
- Free trial: 3 alerts in total for 3 days
- Pro: up to 7 active alerts, with 15 days of active time per alert
- Premium: up to 25 active alerts, with 30 days of active time per alert
- Ultra 3, Ultra 7, and Ultra 11: respectively 3, 7, or 11 active alerts, with 30 days of active time per alert
Paid plans let you pause, delete, and extend alerts. Paused alerts do not count toward active-alert capacity.
Which notifications can I receive?
You can receive both email and push notifications. Enable push notifications by downloading our mobile app. You can toggle each type on or off per alert.
Can I pause a search alert?
Yes. Everyone can pause an alert:
- Free trial: a paused alert still counts toward the total of 3 trial alerts, and trial alerts cannot be deleted or extended
- Paid plans: you can pause, delete, and extend alerts; paused alerts do not count toward active-alert capacity
Pausing is useful when you temporarily do not want new results without losing the search.
Do I get alerts for listings that already existed?
No, we only detect new listings that were posted after you created the alert. We don't send alerts for listings that were already there before.
Why are my email notifications paused?
To prevent your inbox from being flooded, we automatically pause emails if a search alert finds too many results in a short time. This happens in these cases:
- Too many results in a row: 15 checks with new results during the free trial, 10 on Pro, or 5 on Premium and Ultra.
- Too many results in a short time: more than 40 new results within 1 hour on any plan.
In that case we pause email notifications for that alert. You can make the search more specific—for example, by narrowing the price range or setting a smaller region—and re-enable email notifications by editing the alert.
Can I change a search alert after creating it?
Yes, you can edit your alerts at any time. Changes take effect immediately and the system continues monitoring based on your new criteria.
Can I filter results beyond what Vinted offers?
Both lists check the title, brand and available description. At least one include term must match; any exclusion wins. Matching ignores case and accents and includes parts of words. Punctuation and line breaks count as spaces. If the description is unavailable, we decide from the title and brand.
- Exclude word lists let you hide results containing certain words, for example, filter out items described as "damaged", "stained", or "broken".
- Include word lists ensure you only see results that contain specific words, perfect for narrowing broad category searches to specific brands or styles.
You can create reusable word lists on the Custom Filters page and attach them to any of your alerts. One list can be shared across multiple alerts.
Can I monitor multiple brands, sizes, or keywords in a single alert?
Yes, this is possible. A single alert can include multiple brands, sizes, conditions and categories alongside a price range. With any paid plan, you can also include or exclude specific words, filter by the seller's country and filter out sellers you don't want to see. Paid plans also let you create reusable word lists and attach them to multiple alerts, so you don't type the same exclusions every time.
Example: one alert can watch Vinted for "Nike OR Adidas OR Puma", in sizes 42–44, condition "very good" or better, priced €20–80, with "running" or "trainer" in the title, and exclude anything that mentions "damaged" or "stained". That is a lot of logic for one alert, and it's how our power users still manage to enjoy their day without getting overloaded with too many alerts.
Does InstantAlert work for Vinted outside my country? Can I combine multiple countries in one alert?
Yes. InstantAlert works with every Vinted marketplace: vinted.com, vinted.com.au, vinted.co.uk, vinted.ie, vinted.fr, vinted.de, vinted.nl, vinted.be, vinted.it, vinted.es, vinted.pt, vinted.pl, vinted.at, vinted.cz, vinted.sk, vinted.hu, vinted.ro, vinted.dk, vinted.se, vinted.fi, vinted.gr, vinted.hr, vinted.lt, vinted.lv, vinted.ee, vinted.lu, vinted.si and vinted.bg.
Just pick the Vinted market you want to set up an alert for, and your searches run through a proxy located in that country, so the results match what a local Vinted user would see. You can run several alerts at once within your plan's capacity, each targeting a different country. That is especially useful for collectors and resellers searching cross-border, because some brands and items are noticeably cheaper in one country than another, and Vinted's shipping options cover the full EU.
Pricing & Plans
How much does InstantAlert cost?
InstantAlert offers a 3-day free trial and five paid monthly options:
- Free trial: €0, 3 alerts
- Pro: €4.99/month, 7 active alerts
- Premium: €9.99/month, 25 active alerts
- Ultra 3: €11.99/month, 3 active alerts
- Ultra 7: €19.99/month, 7 active alerts
- Ultra 11: €27.99/month, 11 active alerts
Store prices can vary by country and currency; the purchase screen shows the final localized price.
Is this a free plan or a free trial?
It is a free trial. You can create 3 search alerts and use them for 3 days. After those 3 days, the trial ends and a paid Pro, Premium, or Ultra plan is required to keep alerts running.
What is included in the free trial?
The free trial includes 3 total search alerts, 10-minute checks, and email/push notifications for 3 days. You can pause trial alerts, but paused alerts still count toward the 3-alert total. Trial alerts cannot be extended; after 3 days, a paid plan is required to continue.
How do the Pro, Premium, and Ultra plans work?
The Pro plan lets you have up to 7 active search alerts at the same time, with 15 days of active time per alert. Premium gives you up to 25 active search alerts, with 30 days of active time per alert. Ultra comes in 3, 7, or 11-alert options, keeps each alert active for 30 days, and checks Vinted non-stop at our fastest available speed so you have the best chance to spot new matches first. You can pause, delete, or extend alerts on every paid plan.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. There are no long-term commitments. After cancelling, you keep access to your current paid plan until the end of your billing period. After that, you return to trial access; if your 3-day trial has already been used, a paid plan is required to keep alerts running.
What happens to my search alerts if I downgrade?
A scheduled downgrade changes nothing immediately. When the lower plan becomes effective at renewal, InstantAlert keeps your oldest active alerts and automatically pauses newer alerts above the new capacity with the reason “plan limit.” No alerts are deleted. If you upgrade later, paused alerts are not resumed automatically; you choose which ones to reactivate.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately, unless you downgrade to a lower plan-in that case you keep your higher plan until the end of your billing period.
Do I receive an invoice for my subscription?
Yes, after each payment you automatically receive an invoice by email. You can also find all your invoices in your account dashboard.
Do you offer a refund if I'm not satisfied?
Yes. If you're not happy with InstantAlert, open a support ticket from your account within 3 days of your first paid subscription and we'll refund it. No extra form, no "reason required", no runaround. We would rather have you happy somewhere else than keep a subscription you don't use.
For renewals after the first billing period, you can cancel any time from your account settings and keep access until the end of the current period.
Account & Privacy
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. We process payments through RevenueCat, which handles card data via Stripe and Apple/Google's billing systems. All PCI-DSS compliant. Card numbers, CVCs, and expiry dates never touch our servers. We only see what we need to run your subscription: the email address you signed up with, your current plan, your country (for VAT), and whether your last payment succeeded.
We send an invoice after every successful payment, and you can find all of them in your account dashboard.
What happens to my data?
We only store the data we actually need to run your account: your email address, the alerts you've created, the results those alerts have matched, your language preference, and your current plan. Everything is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
We don't track unnecessary things, we don't sell anything to advertisers, and we don't share your data with third parties except the services we need to operate (email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring). You have full GDPR rights: export your data, correct it, or delete your account from the settings page. Everything is removed from our primary database immediately and purged from backups within 7 days.

Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account at any time via the settings page. This permanently removes your data from our servers.
Deleting your InstantAlert account does not cancel subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel them in the store's subscription settings before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
How can I change my password?
Go to Settings and click on “Change password”. You'll receive a link by email to set a new password.
Support & Technical
How can I contact support?
Open a support ticket from your account. We read every ticket, and response time targets depend on your plan:
- Free trial: within 48 hours on business days
- Pro: within 24 hours on business days
- Premium and Ultra: within 12 hours on business days
We answer in English and Dutch natively and use AI to translate to any other language so we can keep communicating!
What should I do if I'm not receiving alerts?
Walk through these in order:
- Check your spam folder. The first email alert often lands there. Mark us as "not spam" once and you'll stop missing them.
- Check if the alert is paused or expired. Alerts expire after 3 days during the free trial, 15 days on Pro, and 30 days on Premium or Ultra. Open the alert and check its status.
- Make sure email and/or push is enabled for that specific alert. Each alert has its own notification toggles; turning off push for one does not affect the others.
- Check whether your filters are too narrow. An alert that hasn't matched anything might simply not have any listings yet. Apply the same filters on Vinted and see if you get results.
- If you're using the mobile app, check notification permissions in your phone's system settings.
Still nothing? Open a support ticket with the alert ID and we'll look at it directly.
What happens if Vinted changes their API or has an outage?
Vinted changes the way their listings are structured a few times a year. When that happens, some of our checks might briefly return incomplete data. We're alerted automatically when that occurs and we usually ship a fix within 24 hours. You don't need to do anything on your end, your alerts keep running and pick up again the moment the fix is deployed.
When Vinted itself is down (their own servers, not ours), we resume monitoring the second Vinted comes back online. If you're worried about an ongoing issue, open a support ticket and we'll tell you whether it's us, Vinted, or your specific alert.
Does InstantAlert work on mobile?
Yes. The InstantAlert website works fully on mobile browsers: you can create, edit, pause, and delete alerts from your phone. We also have dedicated apps for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store), which add one big thing the web can't do: push notifications, even when the phone is idle. Your alerts sync across every device you're logged in on.
Is there a mobile app, and do I need it?
We have apps for both Android and iOS. You don't need the app, the website works the same way on mobile browsers but the app gives you push notifications. If you're serious about catching fast-moving listings, push notifications are the way to go. E-mail is an older technology and is slower than app notifications.
Everything syncs between web and app. Alerts you create on your laptop appear in the app immediately, and notifications for an alert fire on whichever device has push turned on. You can turn push on or off per alert, so you decide!

What uptime do you guarantee?
We target 99.9% uptime and have not been under that since we went live a couple months back. Our servers monitor themselves and page us automatically when something goes wrong. Most of the downtime we've had has been under five minutes and caused by Vinted itself, not us.
When Vinted is down, our checks resume the second Vinted comes back online. You don't lose any alerts and you don't need to do anything.
