Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about InstantAlert
General
What is InstantAlert?
InstantAlert is a service that checks Vinted for you. You tell it what you're looking for: brand, size, price range, keywords, category, condition, country, and we check Vinted for new listings that match, as fast as every minute on Premium. When a match appears, we send you a push or email notification within a few seconds.
It's built for people who actually want to make sure they don't miss deals and fast-moving listings: resellers, collectors, and bargain hunters who've gotten tired of refreshing the app manually. There's a free plan to try it, no credit card required.
How does it work?
- Create your free account.
- Set up a new alert in your InstantAlert dashboard for Vinted.
- Pick your filters - think price range, brand, size, keywords, or anything else you'd normally search for.
- Hit save and you're done!
- We'll monitor new listings around the clock and notify you by email or push notification as soon as something matching shows up.
Who is InstantAlert for?
- anyone looking for specific items
- collectors
- resellers
- people looking for rare or hard-to-find items
Does this also work for specific categories?
How is InstantAlert different from Vinted's own notifications and filters?
Vinted's saved searches remember the filters you set, but they don't notify you reliably. They rely on Vinted's own update frequency, which in practice apparently means that some people do get some delayed notifications, and others don't get anything at all.
InstantAlert checks as often as every minute (Premium) and sends you a push or email notification within seconds of detecting a new match. You also get features Vinted's saved searches don't offer: include and exclude word lists (for example, hide anything with "stained" in the title), filter on seller's country, filter out seller profiles, filter combinations Vinted doesn't let you combine, and the ability to monitor multiple Vinted country domains at once.
Vinted's saved searches are fine for things you're casually curious about. InstantAlert is for things you actually want to buy without missing out.
Safety & Privacy
Do I need to share my Vinted login?
No, and we don't even offer it as an option. InstantAlert only reads public Vinted listings, the same listings anyone can see without logging in. You set your filters inside InstantAlert, not inside your Vinted account, and we never hold any credentials that belong to you on Vinted.
That means we also don't know what you've favorited, what you've bought, who you've messaged, or what's in your Vinted inbox. Your Vinted account and your InstantAlert account are two completely separate things. The only thing we actually need from you is an email address to send alerts to, or, if you have the app, we send new listing notifications to your phone.
This also means there is no risk of getting banned from Vinted!
Can I get banned from Vinted for using InstantAlert?
No. Due to how InstantAlert is set up, it's not possible to get banned on Vinted for using it. We've been active since early 2025 and we have hundreds of active users, and we have not had a single report of Vinted taking any action against an account for using our service.
We never touch your Vinted account. We don't need your login, your password, or any access. All our checks run on our own servers, not on your phone, and they go through proxies that sit physically in the same country as the Vinted marketplace you're watching. To Vinted, each request looks like a normal Dutch visitor on vinted.nl, a normal French visitor on vinted.fr, and so on.
The tools that do get people banned usually fall into one of three categories: they ask for your login and scrape from inside your account, they run checks from your own phone (which exposes your personal IP), or they offer auto-buy, which Vinted's fraud system flags within days. We deliberately don't do any of those.
Does InstantAlert use auto-buy or automation on my account?
No, and we won't add it. We get asked about it occasionally, some competitors do offer auto-buy but it's the fastest way to get a Vinted account banned.
Vinted's fraud systems flag abnormal buying patterns (instant purchases across many sellers, purchases that happen seconds after a listing goes up), and auto-buy tools trip those systems within days. We send you a notification in under a second and let you decide. Our job is to make sure you see the listing first. Yours is to decide if you actually want it.
This also keeps it fair for anyone. We're not a Vinted bot, we're a tool!
Why is InstantAlert safer than alternatives?
Searches, Monitoring & Alerts
How often are the platforms checked?
- The Free plan checks every 10 minutes
- The Pro plan checks every 3 minutes
- The Premium plan checks every minute
How quickly do I get an alert after a new listing appears?
It depends on two things: how often we check Vinted, and how fast we get the notification to you once we find a match.
Check frequency is set by your plan: every minute on Premium, every three minutes on Pro, every ten minutes on Free. Once a check returns a matching listing, the notification goes out within 2 seconds. Push typically is faster, it shows on your lock screen before an email lands in your inbox.
How many search alerts can I create?
- Free plan: you can create up to 3 search alerts in total. They stay active for 3 days and then expire automatically. If you want more alerts, you'll need a paid plan.
- Pro plan: you can have up to 7 active alerts at the same time. Each alert stays active for 15 days. You can also pause alerts when you're at the maximum so you can free up space for a new one.
- Premium plan: you can have up to 25 active alerts at the same time. Each alert stays active for 30 days. Here too, you can pause alerts when you reach the maximum.
Which notifications can I receive?
Can I pause a search alert?
- Free plan: you can pause alerts, but a paused alert still counts towards your maximum of 3. You also can't extend them.
- Pro and Premium: you can pause, delete, and extend alerts. Paused alerts do not count as active, so you can create a new one while others are paused.
Do I get alerts for listings that already existed?
Why are my email notifications paused?
- Too many results in a row: for the Free plan when your alert finds new results 15 times in a row, for Pro when this happens 10 times, and for Premium when it happens 5 times in a row.
- Too many results in a short time: when an alert finds more than 40 new results in 2 hours (Free) or in 1 hour (Pro/Premium).
Can I change a search alert after creating it?
Can I filter results beyond what Vinted offers?
- Exclude word lists let you hide results containing certain words, for example, filter out items described as "damaged", "stained", or "broken".
- Include word lists ensure you only see results that contain specific words, perfect for narrowing broad category searches to specific brands or styles.
Can I monitor multiple brands, sizes, or keywords in a single alert?
Yes, this is possible. A single alert can include multiple brands, multiple sizes, multiple conditions, multiple categories and a price range. When you're a Pro or Premium user you can also filter to include or exclude certain words, filter on the seller's origin country and filter out sellers you don't want to see results from. On Pro and Premium you can create reusable word lists and attach them to multiple alerts, so you don't type the same exclusions every time.
Example: one alert can watch Vinted for "Nike OR Adidas OR Puma", in sizes 42–44, condition "very good" or better, priced €20–80, with "running" or "trainer" in the title, and exclude anything that mentions "damaged" or "stained". That is a lot of logic for one alert, and it's how our power users still manage to enjoy their day without getting overloaded with too many alerts.
Does InstantAlert work for Vinted outside my country? Can I combine multiple countries in one alert?
Yes. InstantAlert works with every Vinted marketplace: vinted.com, vinted.co.uk, vinted.ie, vinted.fr, vinted.de, vinted.nl, vinted.be, vinted.it, vinted.es, vinted.pt, vinted.pl, vinted.at, vinted.cz, vinted.sk, vinted.hu, vinted.ro, vinted.dk, vinted.se, vinted.fi, vinted.gr, vinted.hr, vinted.lt, vinted.lv, vinted.ee, vinted.lu and vinted.si.
Just pick the Vinted market you want to set up an alert for, and your searches run through a proxy located in that country, so the results match what a local Vinted user would see. On Pro and Premium, you can also run several alerts at once, each targeting a different country. That is especially useful for collectors and resellers searching cross-border, because some brands and items are noticeably cheaper in one country than another, and Vinted's shipping options cover the full EU.

Yes. If you're not happy with InstantAlert, email us at info@instantalert.me within 3 days of your first paid subscription and we'll refund it. No form to fill in, no "reason required", no runaround. We would rather have you happy somewhere else than keep a subscription you don't use.
For renewals after the first billing period, you can cancel any time from your account settings and keep access until the end of the current period.
Account & Privacy
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. We process payments through RevenueCat, which handles card data via Stripe and Apple/Google's billing systems. All PCI-DSS compliant. Card numbers, CVCs, and expiry dates never touch our servers. We only see what we need to run your subscription: the email address you signed up with, your current plan, your country (for VAT), and whether your last payment succeeded.
We send an invoice after every successful payment, and you can find all of them in your account dashboard.
What happens to my data?
We only store the data we actually need to run your account: your email address, the alerts you've created, the results those alerts have matched, your language preference, and your current plan. Everything is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
We don't track unnecessary things, we don't sell anything to advertisers, and we don't share your data with third parties except the services we need to operate (email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring). You have full GDPR rights: export your data, correct it, or delete your account from the settings page. Everything is removed from our primary database immediately and purged from backups within 7 days.

Support & Technical
How can I contact support?
Email us at info@instantalert.me. We read everything. Response time targets depend on your plan:
- Free: within 48 hours on business days
- Pro: within 24 hours on business days
- Premium: within 12 hours on business days
We answer in English and Dutch natively and use AI to translate to any other language so we can keep communicating!
What should I do if I'm not receiving alerts?
Walk through these in order:
- Check your spam folder. The first email alert often lands there. Mark us as "not spam" once and you'll stop missing them.
- Check if the alert is paused or expired. On Free, alerts expire after 3 days. On Pro, 15 days. On Premium, 30 days. Open the alert and check the status.
- Make sure email and/or push is enabled for that specific alert. Each alert has its own notification toggles, turning off push for one does not affect the others.
- Check if your filters are too narrow. An alert that hasn't matched anything might simply not have any listings yet. Apply the same filters on Vinted and see if you get results!
- If you're using the mobile app, check the notification permissions in your phone's system settings.
Still nothing? Email us with the alert ID and we'll look at it directly.
What happens if Vinted changes their API or has an outage?
Vinted changes the way their listings are structured a few times a year. When that happens, some of our checks might briefly return incomplete data. We're alerted automatically when that occurs and we usually ship a fix within 24 hours. You don't need to do anything on your end, your alerts keep running and pick up again the moment the fix is deployed.
When Vinted itself is down (their own servers, not ours), we resume monitoring the second Vinted comes back online. If you're worried about an ongoing issue, email us and we'll tell you whether it's us, Vinted, or your specific alert.
Does InstantAlert work on mobile?
Is there a mobile app, and do I need it?
We have apps for both Android and iOS. You don't need the app, the website works the same way on mobile browsers but the app gives you push notifications. If you're serious about catching fast-moving listings, push notifications are the way to go. E-mail is an older technology and is slower than app notifications.
Everything syncs between web and app. Alerts you create on your laptop appear in the app immediately, and notifications for an alert fire on whichever device has push turned on. You can turn push on or off per alert, so you decide!

What uptime do you guarantee?
We target 99.9% uptime and have not been under that since we went live a couple months back. Our servers monitor themselves and page us automatically when something goes wrong. Most of the downtime we've had has been under five minutes and caused by Vinted itself, not us.
When Vinted is down, our checks resume the second Vinted comes back online. You don't lose any alerts and you don't need to do anything.
